Associate Psychotherapist
Timothy believes that his role as a therapist is to join you on your journey of self-exploration. Therapy can be a place to slow down, become curious about oneself and begin making sense of the experiences and patterns that shape one’s life.
He holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Neumann University. His clinical experience includes working with adults navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, self-esteem, and questions surrounding identity, purpose, and meaning.
Timothy enjoys working with both individuals and couples who may be navigating periods of change, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, experiencing challenges in their relationships, or seeking a greater sense of connection and fulfillment in their lives. He recognizes that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable and strives to create a space that is warm, welcoming, and free of judgment.
Grounded primarily in a person-centered approach, Timothy believes that a strong and authentic therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. His work is collaborative and tailored to the individual, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, strengths-based, and experiential approaches to support each client’s unique needs and goals. He is particularly interested in helping clients deepen their understanding of themselves, recognize patterns that may no longer serve them, and develop a greater sense of agency in their lives and relationships.
Timothy appreciates the deeply personal process of self-exploration among people from a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. This perspective informs his understanding of the complexities of identity, relationships, and belonging, as well as the deeply personal process of creating a life that feels authentically one’s own.
Outside of his clinical work, Timothy has a deep appreciation for nature and the creative arts, particularly music. He believes that creativity, connection, and time spent in the natural world can be meaningful parts of a person’s overall well-being. He brings this same sense of curiosity, openness, and creativity into the therapeutic space, meeting clients wherever they are in their lives.
