Embodied Mind Mental Health is a trauma informed mental health practice devoted to fostering emotional and relational well-being, reducing stigma, and increasing access to mental health resources. Our team supports individuals, groups, and couples through therapy, psychoeducation, and outreach. We also believe in the importance of community engagement and data-informed service delivery.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Social Engagement and Research Coordinator Intern to help us strengthen our community partnerships, program impact, and digital presence. This internship is designed for undergraduate students interested in the intersections of mental health, administration, communications, social media, and research. The role offers hands-on experience in social engagement, public education, and program evaluation support.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Engagement & Community Outreach:

- Assist in planning and scheduling social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)

- Create wellness-focused posts, graphics, and captions using tools like Canva

- Monitor and respond to community messages and comments in a timely and compassionate tone

- Support coordination of online events or awareness campaigns (e.g., Mental Health Awareness Month)

- Research trends and hashtags relevant to mental health, wellness, and DEI topics

Administrative and Research Support:

- Assist with collecting and organizing feedback from mental health programs

- Help design and distribute brief evaluation surveys or polls

- Contribute to analyzing social media metrics and event data to assess engagement impact

- Support the development of summary reports and infographics for internal use and community stakeholders

- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Communications, or a related field

- Strong interest in mental health advocacy and public education

- Solid writing and communication skills

- Familiarity with social media platforms and design tools (e.g., Canva, Google Suite, Adobe Suites)

- Interest in data collection and comfort working with basic spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets)

- Self-starter with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach

- Prior experience with social media, outreach, or basic research (a plus)
